Flyer / Tutoring
Young tutors
Find a student nearby who can help with homework and school subjects. Each flyer shows the price, experience and reviews before you send a request.
Homework help from someone who was just there
Flyer is a marketplace where teens aged 13 and up put up a flyer for what they are good at. Tutoring is one of the things they can offer, and an older student who did the subject recently can explain it in a way that sticks.
Search Flyer for tutoring, compare flyers, and send a request for a day and time. Nothing is confirmed until they accept.
What to ask before you book
Message them about the subject, the grade, and what your child is struggling with. Ask how long a session runs and where it will happen. Every job finishes by 9 pm, so plan for after school or weekends.
A young tutor is a good fit for homework help and building confidence. For specialist exam preparation or a learning support plan, a qualified tutor may suit better.
How booking works
- Find a flyer. Browse young people by job, price and availability, and read their reviews.
- Send a request. Pick a day and time. A card is needed, but nothing is taken until they accept.
- They accept or decline. Nothing is confirmed until they accept. Your card is charged then, and your street address is shared.
- Approve the finished job. They tap On my way and Start, then finish the job. You approve it and the money is released to them. Tipping is optional.
How Flyer keeps jobs safe
- Every earner under 18 has a parent or guardian’s contact on file.
- Every job has to finish by 9 pm.
- Your street address stays hidden until the young person accepts.
- Jobs involving ladders, roofs, overnight work or power tools other than a lawn mower cannot be posted.
- The customer’s payment is held until they approve the finished job.
- A booking can be cancelled until the job starts (a 5% fee applies once the earner has accepted), and anyone who feels unsafe can leave at any time.
Flyer does not run criminal record checks, and it does not guarantee any job. Use the same judgement you would use hiring any neighbour’s kid. Read the safety rules in full.
Questions
How much does a young tutor cost?
Each young person sets their own price, shown on their flyer before you send a request. Flyer adds a service fee on top, shown on the booking screen before you send.

Where does tutoring happen?
Agree that in a message before you book. Your street address is only shared once they accept your request.
Are the tutors background checked?
No. Flyer does not run criminal record checks. It keeps a parent or guardian's contact on file for every earner under 18 and shows real reviews from earlier customers.
