A neighbour's kid, not a landscaping company
Flyer connects you with teens aged 13 and up who want to earn from small jobs on their own street. It is a good fit for regular mowing and general tidying. It is not the place for fertilizing, aeration or a full landscaping job.

Agree the details first
Message them before you book to settle the things that make a mow go smoothly: how big the lawn is, whether there is a gate to unlock, where the clippings should go, and who supplies the mower.
Every job has to finish by 9 pm, so an evening mow needs an earlier start.
Regular mowing
If you like someone's work, book them again for the next week. Their reviews and past jobs are on their flyer, so it is easy to find the same person twice.
How booking works
- Find a flyer. Browse young people by job, price and availability, and read their reviews.
- Send a request. Pick a day and time. A card is needed, but nothing is taken until they accept.
- They accept or decline. Nothing is confirmed until they accept. Your card is charged then, and your street address is shared.
- Approve the finished job. They tap On my way and Start, then finish the job. You approve it and the money is released to them. Tipping is optional.
How Flyer keeps jobs safe
- Every earner under 18 has a parent or guardian’s contact on file.
- Every job has to finish by 9 pm.
- Your street address stays hidden until the young person accepts.
- Jobs involving ladders, roofs, overnight work or power tools other than a lawn mower cannot be posted.
- The customer’s payment is held until they approve the finished job.
- A booking can be cancelled until the job starts (a 5% fee applies once the earner has accepted), and anyone who feels unsafe can leave at any time.
Flyer does not run criminal record checks, and it does not guarantee any job. Use the same judgement you would use hiring any neighbour’s kid. Read the safety rules in full.
Questions
Can you mow the lawn when the grass is wet?
It is best to wait until it dries. Wet grass clumps, clogs the mower, cuts unevenly and makes the ground slippery. If the forecast is wet, message the young person and move the booking to a drier day.
How much does lawn mowing cost?
Each young person sets their own price, shown on their flyer before you send a request. Flyer adds a service fee on top, shown on the booking screen before you send. Lawn size is the biggest factor, so tell them roughly how big yours is.
Who brings the lawn mower?
That is something to agree in a message before you book.
How late can a teenager mow the lawn?
Jobs have to finish by 9 pm. Booking times that run past that are not offered to customers.
