Flyer / Leaf raking and yard cleanup
Leaf raking and yard cleanup
Book a young person nearby to rake, bag and haul leaves to the curb, or to tidy the yard before winter.
Fall clean-up, done by people on your street
Leaves pile up fast and it is a job that suits a couple of hours and a few pairs of hands. On Flyer, teens aged 13 and up put up a flyer for raking, bagging and yard tidying, with their own price and hours.
Pick a flyer, choose a day and time, and send the request. Nothing is confirmed until they accept.
Be clear about what is included
Say in your message whether you want leaves bagged, piled for pickup, or moved to a garden bed, and roughly how much of the yard is covered. Point out anything they should avoid, like a garden edge or a pet area.
Jobs that need a ladder or roof and gutter access are not allowed on Flyer and cannot be posted, so gutter cleaning is not something you can book here.
Other yard work
Some young people also list general yard work, like weeding or clearing a flower bed. Look at each flyer to see what they offer.
How booking works
- Find a flyer. Browse young people by job, price and availability, and read their reviews.
- Send a request. Pick a day and time. A card is needed, but nothing is taken until they accept.
- They accept or decline. Nothing is confirmed until they accept. Your card is charged then, and your street address is shared.
- Approve the finished job. They tap On my way and Start, then finish the job. You approve it and the money is released to them. Tipping is optional.
How Flyer keeps jobs safe
- Every earner under 18 has a parent or guardian’s contact on file.
- Every job has to finish by 9 pm.
- Your street address stays hidden until the young person accepts.
- Jobs involving ladders, roofs, overnight work or power tools other than a lawn mower cannot be posted.
- The customer’s payment is held until they approve the finished job.
- A booking can be cancelled until the job starts (a 5% fee applies once the earner has accepted), and anyone who feels unsafe can leave at any time.
Flyer does not run criminal record checks, and it does not guarantee any job. Use the same judgement you would use hiring any neighbour’s kid. Read the safety rules in full.
Questions
How much does leaf raking cost?
Each young person sets their own price, shown on their flyer before you send a request. Flyer adds a service fee on top, shown on the booking screen before you send. The size of the yard and how many leaves there are matter most.
Can someone clear my gutters through Flyer?
No. Anything needing a ladder, roof or gutter access cannot be posted on Flyer, to keep young people out of risky work.
Can I ask them to come back for a second round?
Yes. If the trees are not finished dropping leaves, book the same person again for another day. Their flyer shows their reviews and availability.
What if the job is not done properly?
Do not approve it, and message them about what is missing. If it cannot be put right, report a problem and the money stays held while a person at Flyer looks into it. Leave an honest review. Either side can cancel a booking if it is not working.
